Fund Board Views has named asset management partner Paulita Pike (Chicago) one of the top ten women lawyers who represent counsel and mutual fund boards. The publication writes: “When we asked independent directors who should be on the list, they described the lawyers they mentioned as supportive to other women and especially focused on developing younger female lawyers, smart, interesting, knowledgeable, diplomatic, collaborative, able to explain what the board needs to know and do, personable, funny, proactive, and ‘definitely kick a$s.’ Our list includes lawyers in private practice and a few in-house counsel, and it is an impressive—albeit not close to all-inclusive—group of superstar women.”
Paulita’s work covers a variety of registered products, including open- and closed-end funds, ETFs, funds of hedge funds, and funds investing in private equity. Her innovative approach to structuring investment products and navigating the regulatory and compliance hurdles of the market has earned her a distinguished reputation in the field. Paulita is also the managing partner of the Chicago office, and holds leadership roles on Ropes & Gray’s diversity committee, the Women’s Forum, and Chicago’s diversity, equity and inclusion committee. Additionally, she teaches courses at Notre Dame Law School and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
