Ahead of its annual “Innovative Lawyers” awards on December 4, the Financial Times has shortlisted Ropes & Gray as among the most innovative law firms in North America, a recognition of the firm’s overall excellence and for guiding our clients in their most complex and challenging matters. The firm is also shortlisted for several of the Financial Times’ most prestigious awards, including:

  • Innovative Lawyers in Deals & Financings – Ropes & Gray advised Pfizer in the $11.6 billion acquisition of Biohaven Pharmaceuticals. This team was led by mergers and acquisitions partner Emily Oldshue, life sciences partner Amanda Austin, capital markets partner William Michener, tax partner David Saltzman, employment & benefits partner Renata Ferrari, life sciences regulatory & compliance partner Joshua Oyster, and antitrust partners Ruchit Patel and Michael McFalls.
  • Innovative Lawyers in Healthcare and Life Sciences – Ropes & Gray advised HUTCHMED in a worldwide license agreement with Takeda Pharmaceutical, valued at $1.13 billion.
