Ropes & Gray Transaction Wins ‘High Yield Debt Deal of the Year’ at the Bonds & Loans Latin America & Caribbean Awards

Ropes & Gray’s London finance team has been recognised for its work advising Liberty Latin America’s subsidiary Liberty Servicios Fijos LY on the largest sustainability-linked bond in the digital infrastructure sector in Costa Rica. The transaction has been awarded ‘High Yield Debt Deal of the Year’ at the Bonds & Loans Latin America & Caribbean Awards, which celebrate the most innovative and ground-breaking deals from Latin America and the Caribbean.

This financing involved a unique US$450 million financing package, which included a noteworthy A/B bond structure which consists of a combination of a loan and a bond, and will support the continued expansion of fixed network and 4G/5G coverage to narrow the digital divide in Costa Rica.
