As the R&G Insights Lab celebrates its fifth anniversary, a recent article in The American Lawyer featured the Insights Lab for its innovative approach, and continued leadership in illustrating how integrated, technology-enabled legal services can aid clients in identifying and mitigate emerging areas of risk.
As partner and Insights Lab co-leader Sean Seelinger notes in the article, the Insights Lab has “helped demonstrate a change in the way legal services are delivered and the methods by which attorneys offer legal advice.”
Launched in 2020, the Insights Lab brings together lawyers, data and visualization experts, behavioral scientists, and design specialists to deliver integrated, data-driven solutions across industries, leveraging AI and advanced analytics to provide clients with a comprehensive view of risks across portfolios.
Amanda Raad, partner, co-leader of the Insights Lab, and co-head of the anti-corruption and international risk practice, says that this multidisciplinary approach is one that’s been embraced by, and interconnected with, the firm as a whole, “The lab isn’t this standalone thing. We are part of the firm. We are fully integrated. We are working on matters in every practice group in every jurisdiction, in front of clients all over the world.”
This summer, the Insights Lab also welcomed Katie Daniels as director of ethics, compliance and insights, underscoring Ropes & Gray’s commitment to combining legal, behavioral, and data.
