18th Annual Stanford University Director's College
Ropes & Gray is a proud Program Partner Affiliate of the Rock Center for Corporate Governance and of this year's Director's College conference at Stanford Law School. Now in its eighteenth year the conference addressed a broad range of problems that confront modern boards, including the board’s role in setting business strategy, CEO succession, techniques for controlling legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics, and contemporary challenges including the state of the macroeconomy and emerging cyber security threats.
Jane Goldstein, co-head of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice and head of the firm’s Retail & Consumer Brand practice, spoke on "Mergers & Acquisitions" during one of the College's intensive sessions.
