Long-Term Implications of the Freeh Report

December 4, 2012
The findings of former FBI director and Judge Louis Freeh’s internal investigation into Penn State’s actions have long-term implications for colleges, universities and other institutions that serve young people – not only for how athletic programs, camps and other youth programs operate, but also how institutions hire, fire and evaluate employees, and how they govern themselves. Rather than summarize the Penn State affair itself, this presentation will examine the potential impact on all institutions of the Freeh Report’s recommendations on athletic departments, youth programs, compliance functions and boards.
