Intellectual Property Litigator to Speak on the Patent Trial and Appeal Board’s First Five Years

Intellectual property litigation partner Leslie Spencer (Silicon Valley) will speak on “The Patent Trial and Appeal Board Turns Five” on April 27 at the Practising Law Institute’s 11th Annual Patent Law Institute seminar in San Francisco with moderator Douglas Nemec, partner at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, and co-panelists Brent Yamashita, partner at DLA Piper and the Honorable Timothy Goodson, Administrative Patent Judge of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

The panel will address topics including the evolution and status of the PTAB five years after the America Invents Act, the impact of recent cases on PTAB authority and procedure, best practices for making a case before the PTAB, and coordinating PTAB proceedings with actions in other jurisdictions.
