eDiscovery Counsel Shannon Capone Kirk to Co-chair Georgetown Law’s 2020 Advanced eDiscovery Institute

E-Discovery counsel Shannon Capone Kirk has once again been named co-chair of Georgetown Law’s 2020 Advanced eDiscovery Institute. Having served as a member of the advisory board for the last two years, Shannon will be responsible for guiding the conference’s virtual program and delivering a first-class learning experience to attendees. Georgetown Law’s annual Advanced eDiscovery Institute, now in its sixteenth year, is well known in the industry among judges, practitioners, and vendors. Participants have the opportunity to learn at an advanced level from the leading E-Discovery practitioners and academics from across the United States. This year, in addition to co-chairing, Shannon will moderate a panel on the timely topic of E-Discovery practice in the time of COVID-19. 

Shannon, Chambers USA eDiscovery band one-ranked, focuses exclusively on electronic discovery law. Partnering with clients whose internal eDiscovery capabilities range from minimal to extensive, Shannon serves as a trusted advisor to internal eDiscovery personnel maximizing all efficiencies from whatever source is most defensible and cost effective. Shannon is also a contributing author on several eDiscovery books including, the EDI Judges’ Guide to eDiscovery and the Technology Assisted Review chapter of the Federal Bench. Recently, in its first year analyzing the field, The Legal 500 US 2019 gave Ropes & Gray’s eDiscovery practice, led by Shannon, a debut tier one-rank and designated Shannon as a “Leading Lawyer” in the field – one of only seven nationally ranked attorneys.
