Mark Barnes Presented the Keynote to the Conference on Legal Barriers to Genomic Research & Precision Medicine

Health care partner Mark Barnes (Boston) presented the keynote address on “Overcoming Legal Obstacles and Improving the Law of Genomics” at the LawSeq: Facing the Legal Barriers to Genomic Research & Precision Medicine on December 2.

The conference included panels addressing pressing legal and policy issues confronting genomic research and clinical care; issues impacting FDA regulation of genomic devices, software and algorithms; and genomic data governance legal and policy issues.

The event was presented in collaboration with Ropes & Gray, Hyman, Phelps & McNamara PC, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment & the Life Sciences at the University of Minnesota.
