Ropes & Gray represented Silver Lake Partners in the sale of its entire 10.5 million-share stake in Nasdaq OMX stock, announced Feb. 8. Silver Lake, the second-biggest single investor in the exchange operator, sold its Nasdaq OMX stock for about $267.7 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Boston-based corporate partner Julie Jones led the Ropes & Gray team on the transaction with assistance from New York-based corporate associate Kerith Fried.
Ropes & Gray has previously advised Silver Lake in its $8 billion acquisition of Avaya and its $11.3 billion leveraged buyout of SunGard Data Systems, among other transactions.
