Ropes & Gray Advises Castanea on Purchase of Minority Interest in Fitness Anywhere

A Ropes & Gray team advised private equity firm Castanea Partners Inc. in its recent purchase of a minority interest in Fitness Anywhere LLC.

Based in San Francisco, Fitness Anywhere develops and sells suspension training equipment under the TRX brand with products and exercise programs used by professional and amateur athletes, fitness professionals, exercise enthusiasts, fire and police departments and the U.S. military. The sale was announced April 11. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Led by Boston-based private equity transactions partner Jane Goldstein, the Ropes & Gray team advising Fitness Anywhere included New York-based tax partner Lee Allison, Boston-based benefits partner Jon Zorn, Boston-based private investment funds associate Peter Laybourn, Boston-based corporate general associate Rachel Phillips, Boston-based tax associate Elizabeth Norman, Boston-based tax & benefits associate Benjamin Rogers and Boston-based benefits associate Abby Baird.
