Real estate practice leader Walter McCabe, partner Peter Alpert and senior attorney Laurie Nelson represented Novavax, Inc. in both its short- and long-term lease arrangement for 74,000-square-feet of manufacturing, lab and office space in two facilities in Gaithersburg, MD announced on Nov. 21. The main facility will become the primary commercial-scale plant for production of the company's vaccines after minor modifications that are expected to be completed by mid-2012. The company's corporate headquarters will be relocated to this campus as well.
Novavax is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company creating novel vaccines to address a broad range of infectious diseases worldwide. The laboratory, office, and manufacturing space is owned and operated by Alexandria Real Estate Equities.
