Ropes & Gray represented SteelPath Capital in its sale to OppenheimerFunds, Inc. SteelPath is a leading investment manager of Master Limited Partnership (MLP) portfolios with approximately $2.6 billion under management as of June 30, 2012. OppenheimerFunds is one of the nation’s largest investment management companies. The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of this year, subject to certain conditions and approvals. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
