Ropes & Gray Represents Altamont Capital in Separate Transactions for the Acquisition of Tacala and Boom Foods, and OMNIPLEX World Services
Ropes & Gray represented Palo Alto-based Altamont Capital Partners in its acquisition of Tacala, LLC and Boom Foods, LLC, in partnership with management. Tacala is one of the nation’s largest franchisees of Taco Bell, operating 162 stores in the Southeastern United States. Boom Foods is a leading Sonic, America’s Drive-In franchisee with 66 locations. The transaction was announced on December 20.
The Ropes & Gray team in the Tacala and Boom acquisition was led by private equity partner Todd Boes, and included finance partner Steven Rutkovsky and tax partner Amanda Holt.
The firm also represented Altamont Capital in its transaction, announced Dec. 21, to take a majority stake in OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation. OMNIPLEX is a Virginia-based provider of government security and background investigations services.
The Ropes & Gray team in the OMNIPLEX transaction was also led by private equity partner Todd Boes, and included finance partner Steven Rutkovsky, tax partner Amanda Holt, and associates Matthew Dunn and Amy Olson.
