Miller’s Ale House Acquired by Roark Capital Group

Roark Capital Group, an Atlanta-based private equity firm, acquired Miller’s Ale House, a growing casual dining restaurant chain, from owners Jack Miller, KarpReilly and SKM Equity Fund III. Ropes & Gray represented Miller’s Ale House, SKM Equity Fund III and KarpReilly in the transaction. 

The Jupiter, Fla.-based Miller’s Ale House has 65 restaurants and generated $300 million in systemwide sales last year. As part of the transaction, restaurant industry veteran Phil Hickey will join Miller’s Ale House as chairman.
