Ropes & Gray Continues to Enhance Tax Capability in London

LONDON (3 June 2014) - Ropes & Gray today announced that Andrew Howard has joined the firm as counsel in its London tax & benefits department. Mr Howard joins the global firm from Allen & Overy LLP. The firm has also recently recruited Brenda Coleman, a highly regarded tax lawyer who is ranked in Tier 1 in Chambers, as a partner in the practice.

Mr Howard has 11 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE) gained with Allen & Overy and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. He has also spent time on secondment with a leading investment bank. He advises on all areas of UK corporate tax, with extensive tax experience in UK and international M&A, funds, real estate and finance matters. He is a regular contributor to leading UK tax publications and has presented a number of seminars on developments in UK tax law. Mr Howard also focuses on cross-border and international tax matters, coordinating advice with counsel in a wide range of jurisdictions to provide comprehensive advice on the tax effects of clients’ transactions. He has developed a reputation with clients for providing clear and concise advice on complex transactions.
