In a Nov. 6 article published by Law360, Ropes & Gray attorneys examine a speech at Duke University Law School, in which Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell suggests the U.S. Department of Justice’s enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) has not remotely reached an apex. The article, co-authored by government enforcement associate Patrick Welsh, also examines how the ‘Caldwell Doctrine’ characterizes the DOJ’s enforcement of the FCPA as a broader foreign policy tool.
