Ropes & Gray advised private equity firm Metalmark Capital on its acquisition of a majority equity interest in Collagen Matrix, a leading medical technology provider. Oakland, N.J.-based Collagen Matrix designs, develops, manufactures and markets high-quality collagen and mineral-based products for use in tissue and organ repair and regeneration. The deal was announced on Oct. 27; financial terms were not disclosed.
