In a Sept. 4 article published by Global Competition Review, Ropes & Gray antitrust partner Jonathan Klarfeld (Washington, D.C.) discusses the Federal Trade Commission’s request for more information about a proposed merger between two large online retail databases, Trulia and Zillow. Mr. Klarfeld explains how issuance of a Second Request from the FTC is not necessarily an indication of major antitrust problems with a transaction, but may occur simply to give the agency time to complete a thorough review.
