Berkshire Partners Acquires Majority Stake in Implus
Ropes & Gray represented Berkshire Partners LLC in its definitive agreement to acquire a majority position in Implus Corporation, alongside management, from Trilantic North America. Durham, N.C.-based Implus is a provider of various brands of footwear, fitness and recreational accessories. The deal closed and was announced on April 30. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Ropes & Gray team included private equity partner Taylor Hart (Boston); tax partner Leo Arnaboldi (New York); benefits partner Renata Ferrari (Boston); private equity associate Christian Westra (Boston); and finance associate Lindita Bresa (New York).
