Law360Recognizes Ropes & Gray “Practice Groups of the Year”

On Dec. 21, Law360 recognized Ropes & Gray’s appellate & Supreme Court practice, and the firm’s privacy & data security practice as “Practice Groups of the Year for 2015.” In addition, the firm was cited as one of just four global law firms on the Law360 “Securities All-Star” list, which includes those firms named a securities litigation “Practice Group of the Year” for at least three years over the past five years.

For the third time in four years, the firm received the “Privacy Group of the Year” distinction, the result of Ropes & Gray’s work resolving closely watched litigation, and for its privacy work.

The firm’s appellate & Supreme Court practice received the “Appellate Group of the Year” recognition, a testament to outcomes in the landmark marriage equality case Obergefell v. Hodges, which extended equal marriage rights to couples of the same sex, and in a key bankruptcy case, Bullard v. Blue Hills Bank, which the U.S. Supreme Court decided unanimously in our client’s favor.

The firm was a named a “Practice of the Year” for securities litigation in 2011, 2013 and 2014. Law360 commended Ropes & Gray’s securities litigation practice for “handling — and winning — some of the toughest cases over the past five years.”
