Norcraft Companies to be Acquired by Fortune Brands

Ropes & Gray represented Norcraft Companies, Inc. on a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by Fortune Brands Home & Security, Inc., a home and security products company and maker of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. The transaction, announced Mar. 30, is valued at approximately $600 million.

The Ropes & Gray team included private equity partners Carl Marcellino and Daniel Evans (both of New York); tax partners Christopher Leich and Amanda Holt (both of Boston); tax associate Adam Greenwood (New York); antitrust partners Michael McFalls and Jonathan Klarfeld (both of Washington, D.C.); benefits partner Jonathan Zorn (Boston); benefits associate Joshua Lichtenstein (New York); and labor & employment associates Megan Bisk and Jennifer Cormier (both of Boston).
