Ropes & Gray advised GI Partners, a leading middle market private equity firm, in connection with its proposed acquisition of Daxko.
Based in Birmingham, Ala., Daxko provides SaaS solutions to membership-based organizations, including YMCA/YWCA’s, JCC’s, health clubs, wellness centers and recreation facilities in North America. Daxko’s products help more than 1,200 organizations manage their scheduling and daily operations, member management and engagement, accounting, event registration, payment services, and mobile applications.
Founded in 2001 and based in San Francisco, GI Partners manages over $12 billion in capital commitments through private equity and real estate strategies for recognized institutional investors across the globe.
The deal was announced Sept. 6.
The Ropes & Gray team advising GI Partners included finance partner Michael Lee (Boston), tax partner Pamela Glazier (Boston) and intellectual property transactions associate Megan Baca (Silicon Valley).
