Articles published Aug. 15 -16 by Reuters, Law360, IPPro Patents and The American Lawyer, and an Am Law Daily summary appearing in Bloomberg BNA’s Big Law Business, highlight the addition of IP litigation partner Scott McKeown to Ropes & Gray’s Washington, D.C. office. Mr. McKeown will chair the firm’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) practice.
The articles note that Mr. McKeown brings to Ropes & Gray extensive experience counseling clients in post-grant proceedings, hearings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, administrative trials before the PTAB, and appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is the most active PTAB trial attorney in the United States, having personally handled more than 150 PTAB trial proceedings since 2012. Mr. McKeown also maintains an award-winning blog that examines developments in patent litigation, including issues related to USPTO post-issuance proceedings.
