  • Litigation & enforcement partner Colleen Conry has been named to the LatinVex list of top 100 female lawyers in Latin America. In compiling its list of top attorneys, LatinVex evaluated a number of factors, including an attorney’s recent track record handling major matters, the attorney’s prominence in Latin America and recognition from third parties.
  • Ropes & Gray’s Asia IP practice received high rankings for its work from Asian Legal Business, ranking in Tier 1 for international firms in the patents category in China, Japan and South Korea. The publication ranked top law firms practicing in Asia according to complexity of work undertaken, key clients and visibility in the region, among other metrics.
  • More than 100 senior executives and legal leaders gathered at Ropes & Gray’s New York office on May 2 as part of the 2018 Out Leadership U.S. Senior Leader Summit. The event, titled “What’s Next for Advocates of LGBT+ Equality,” was part of a three-day, multi-session summit sponsored by Ropes & Gray. Participants heard perspectives from legal advocates and law firm leaders on key cases currently before U.S. courts, including discussion of how the administration’s appointees might influence jurisprudence on LGBT+ issues in the future. “A reporter asked why Ropes & Gray supports this summit. It was almost like he asked me why I supported the sun rising. When we all work together, we can do amazing things. It is good business, but it’s also the right thing to do,” said firm chair Brad Malt.
