Ropes & Gray Serves as Fund Formation Counsel on Cordillera Investment Partners’ Second Fund

Ropes & Gray served as fund formation counsel to Cordillera Investment Partners, L.P. on their second fund, Cordillera Investment Fund II, L.P. The Fund announced its final closing on Oct. 18 with total commitments of $362 million.

Formed in 2014 and with offices in San Francisco and Menlo Park, Cordillera specializes in unique and less correlated investment opportunities in areas that it believes remain inefficient, misunderstood, and not over-capitalized. The Fund was oversubscribed and capitalized by endowments, foundations, family offices, and wealth advisors.

The Ropes & Gray team was led by private investment funds partner Raj Marphatia and included tax & benefits partner Brett Robbins, investment management counsel Michael Jurasic, senior private investment funds attorney Eli Rosenbaum, tax & benefits associates Ariella Mutchler and Colby Rogers, and corporate paralegals Maureen Hennessy, Deliah Moguel and Carolyn Ye.
