On Aug. 3 and 4, a team of Ropes & Gray attorneys and support team members participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), a 192-mile cycling event across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The riders endured windy and humid conditions on day one but were rewarded with sunshine and beautiful ocean views at day two’s finish in Provincetown. The PMC is Dana-Farber's single largest contributor and directly funds the Jimmy Fund, a charity started in 1948 and dedicated to funding cancer research. The team has already raised $131,000 and would like to thank all those who contributed donations on behalf of the firm. The PMC accepts donations until October 1; please consider making a donation by visiting this page. Including past years, more than $2 million has been raised by Ropes & Gray PMC teams to benefit cancer research.

The effort was organized by private equity partner Christian Westra, real estate associate Michael Allen, real estate practice development specialist Rachel Pettis, and private equity practice development assistant Will Hurley (all of Boston), private equity partner Al Rose, and members of the cross-office team of volunteers and cyclists. The team also included securities & public companies partner Marko Zatylny, private client group partner Martin Hall, private equity partner Taylor Hart, IP transactions partner Ed Black, labor & employment partner Doug Brayley, director of pricing Michael Boussy, IP transactions associate Hannah Freeman, private equity associate Graham Foster, private equity associate PJ Sullivan, senior revenue coordinator Elizabeth Curado, desktop engineer II Mark Morrison (all of Boston). Ropes & Gray volunteers included conference services representatives Glenda Watson and Mercedes Brown (Boston).
