Ropes & Gray Represents Charlesbank Capital Partners in its Investment in Aptean

Ropes & Gray represented funds affiliated with Charlesbank Capital Partners in its investment in Aptean, a global provider of mission-critical, industry-specific enterprise resource planning and supply chain solutions. The transaction was announced on June 23. The press release is here. 

Charlesbank joined existing investors TA Associates and Vista Equity Partners as institutional shareholders in Aptean. Charlesbank Capital Partners is a middle-market private equity investment firm based in Boston and New York that manages more than $6 billion of capital. Charlesbank focuses on management-led buyouts and growth capital financings as well as opportunistic credit and technology investments. 

The Ropes & Gray team that represented Charlesbank Capital Partners was led by private equity partner Kendrick Chow (Boston), and included tax partners David Saltzman (Boston) and Andrew Howard (London), employment, executive compensation & benefits partners Douglas Brayley (Boston) and Joshua Lichtenstein (New York), and real estate partner Walter McCabe (Boston).
