Ropes & Gray advised Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp., a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, in a definitive agreement to combine with SGHC Limited (“Super Group) to create a global gaming company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp. trades on the NYSE under the symbol “SEAH.” The special purpose acquisition company is focused on the sports and entertainment sectors as well as technology and services associated with these verticals. Super Group is the holding company for the global online sports betting and gaming businesses Betway and Spin.
