Ropes & Gray Advises CIVC Partners in Investment in 829 Studios

Ropes & Gray advised CIVC Partners, L.P. in its investment in 829 Studios, a Boston-based marketing services firm that provides integrated, data-driven digital services to clients across B2C and B2B verticals. Since its founding in 2007, 829 has established itself as one of the industry’s fastest growing digital marketing companies. Terms of the transaction, announced on Sept. 14, were not disclosed. CIVC Partners is a Chicago-based middle market private equity firm focused on investments in the business services sector. Since 1989, CIVC has invested $1.9 billion in 71 platform companies and currently invests from CIVC Partners Fund VI.
