Ropes & Gray Strengthens Private Funds Practice with Arrival of Nicola Rosenstock in New York

Global law firm Ropes & Gray today announced that Nicola Rosenstock, whose practice focuses on investor representations, has joined the firm’s 500-lawyer New York office. Nicola arrives as counsel in the firm’s global asset management group.

Recently recognized by Chambers USA as an “Up and Coming” attorney in the investment funds industry, Nicola focuses on representing investors in making investments into open-end, closed-end and hybrid funds, and co-investments. Nicola has, in recent years, advised on approximately 175 investments per year.

Her client base includes family offices, pension plans, endowments, insurance companies, funds of funds, foundations and banks located in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

She has also conducted diligence in connection with acquisitions involving private equity fund managers and financial institutions. Nicola has a strong understanding of, and advises clients on, ’33 and ’40 Act issues, including registration, compliance and private placements.
