Ropes & Gray Represents Avista Capital Partners and eMolecules on its Acquisition of Frontier Scientific and Frontier Agricultural Sciences

Ropes & Gray represented eMolecules Inc., a portfolio company of Avista Capital Partners, in the acquisition of Frontier Scientific Inc. and Frontier Agricultural Sciences Inc. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed. The transactions were announced on Sept. 8 in a press release.

Frontier Scientific is a leading provider of chemical materials management and custom research services. Frontier Agricultural Sciences is a provider of research materials to the entomology research community. eMolecules is a provider of a leading chemistry search-and-fulfillment platform for early drug discovery research. Avista Capital is a New York-based private equity firm with over $8 billion invested in more than 40 growth-oriented healthcare businesses globally.
