Investors seem to view the metaverse as having almost limitless creative potential. But with that potential comes great uncertainty, as well as a whole host of legal questions that have yet to be resolved in their application to the metaverse.
In a Global Legal Insights – Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Regulation 2023 chapter on “The Law of the Metaverse,” attorneys examine the concept of the metaverse and the commercial opportunities it offers, and provide an overview of some of the key legal issues likely to arise as the metaverse continues to develop. They also discuss the implications of these legal issues for parties considering whether to become stakeholders or participants in the metaverse.
