For the second year in a row, the Vault Guide, the influential directory for law firm associates and candidates, ranked Ropes & Gray the "Best Firm to Work For." The Vault rankings, released on July 20, are based on surveys completed by nearly 19,000 associates around the country who are asked to evaluate firms based on factors such as job satisfaction, diversity and training and development.

“Ropes & Gray ranking as the No. 1 ‘Best Firm to Work For’ in consecutive years is a remarkable testament to the way the firm manages to combine a high level practice with a collegial and respectful culture,” said Brian Dalton, managing editor at Vault.

The firm was ranked number one in two other key categories—firm culture and informal training—and ranked second in satisfaction, formal training and associate/partner relations. Ropes & Gray also ranked in the top five for diversity and compensation.

"To receive such positive feedback from our associates is indeed gratifying, and on behalf of the firm I would like to thank our associates for their extraordinary work and dedication to client service," said Ropes & Gray Chairman Brad Malt. "We remain committed to recruiting the brightest young legal minds from America's top law schools and providing them with training, development and mentoring opportunities to help them achieve the high standards of excellence our clients have come to expect."
