Asian Legal Business Awards Ropes & Gray First Place as Employer of Choice in Japan
Ropes & Gray was named the best international firm to work for in Japan by Asian Legal Business magazine. The rankings are generated based on a survey sent to more than 20,000 partners, associates and paralegals in the Asia-Pacific and Gulf regions. Survey participants are asked to rate their firm’s pay, development and training, balance between work and life, and overall morale.
In the feature article recently published on the awards in Asian Legal Business, Ropes & Gray staff in the Japan office cite “quality of work, level of morale and professional development” with high regard.
The award is the latest in a series of prestigious honors for Ropes & Gray in Japan. In June 2010, Ropes & Gray won its second consecutive ALB Japan “Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year” award for representing Bain Capital on its $1.1 billion acquisition of Bellsystem 24. The firm was cited for the same award in 2009 for representing Bain Capital on its $690 million tender offer acquisition of D&M holdings.
