Ropes & Gray Earns High Marks for Workplace Satisfaction, Diversity in Annual Vault Survey

Ropes & Gray has been recognized for the quality of life at the firm and the diversity of the firm’s workforce in the latest annual Vault survey of associates.

Ropes & Gray ranked second among U.S. firms as a “Best Law Firm to Work For” in the annual Vault survey of 16,000 associates in the U.S. The firm was ranked number one for formal and informal training, and placed in the top 10 for both selectivity and its summer associate program. Vault’s editors write, “this firm gets great marks for fostering a respectful, cooperative atmosphere and giving juniors interesting work and guidance on how to do it.”

In addition to its commitment to providing associates with a fulfilling work experience, Ropes & Gray places a high priority on creating an inclusive and diverse workplace and the firm continued to receive high marks in the Vault survey’s diversity categories. The firm ranked second for overall diversity, second for minorities, third for LGBT and fifth for women, making Ropes & Gray the only Am Law 50 firm to place in the top five in each of the four diversity categories.

Ropes & Gray recently published its annual report on diversity initiatives, “Voices of Diversity and Inclusion.” This year’s report highlights the efforts of the firm’s Attorneys of Color Group, LGBT Forum and Women’s Forum, including notable events sponsored by these groups.
