Vault Ranks Ropes & Gray Top Law Firm for Diversity & Associate Training
Ropes & Gray recorded its best showing to date in the 2015 Vault Guide released July 8, which ranked Ropes & Gray second among U.S. firms as the “Best Law Firm to Work For” and marked the firm’s sixth straight year to be ranked in the top two of this category. The firm ranked #1 for formal training and informal training, mentoring & sponsorship, and scored near the top in several other categories:
- #3 for associate/partner relations
- #4 for pro bono
- #4 for firm culture
- #4 for satisfaction
- #6 for career outlook
- #10 for selectivity
This year’s rankings reflect the commitment the firm has made to the professional growth of its associates, including a comprehensive training program and support for their development throughout their careers. Ropes & Gray offers more than 800 courses each year for attorneys and clients on substantive law and practical legal skills, including special programs targeted at key milestones in an attorney’s career, such as training camps for new associates and an annual sixth-year retreat for associates worldwide, as well as a highly-rated program on business development.
The Vault rankings are based on a survey of 17,000 U.S. associates, who evaluate firms based on factors including job satisfaction, training and development, and diversity. Ropes & Gray was also ranked #1 for overall diversity in the 2015 survey. The rankings are available here.
