Ropes & Gray Earns Six LMG 2016 Life Sciences Awards
Ropes & Gray has been honored with multiple LMG Life Sciences Awards for 2016, including “M&A Impact Deal of the Year: High-Range” for its work on Baxalta’s $32 billion merger with Shire; “M&A Impact Deals of the Year: Mid-Range” for work on Shire’s $6.5 billion acquisition of Dyax; and “Collaboration Impact Deals of the Year: High-Range” for Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ $2.6 billion strategic research and collaboration agreement with CRISPR Therapeutics.
LMG Life Sciences also honored Ropes & Gray as Government Investigations Firm of the Year.
Additionally, mergers & acquisitions partner Christopher Comeau was selected as Finance & Transactional Attorney of the Year, and government enforcement partner Brien O’Connor was named Government Investigations Attorney of the Year.
The awards ceremony was held on Sept. 14 at the Essex House in New York City.
In 2015, Ropes & Gray won “Patent Impact Case of the Year” for Antares Pharma v. Medac Pharma, and “M&A Impact Deal of the Year” for Endo International plc’s acquisition of Par Pharmaceutical Holdings, Inc. In 2014, Ropes & Gray won LMG Life Sciences Awards for Government Investigations (International) Firm of the Year and U.S. Life Cycle Firm of the Year.
