Chief executive officer of Ropes Wealth Advisors Robert Shapiro will be presented with the 2018 Harvard Medal by the Harvard Alumni Association at Harvard’s Commencement Day on May 24. First awarded in 1981, the Harvard Medal recognizes extraordinary service to the university.
Mr. Shapiro has served with great distinction in numerous capacities at the university including as president of the HAA, president of the Harvard Law School Association, and as a member of the Harvard Board of Overseers, among other roles. He currently serves on the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study’s Dean’s Advisory Council and Harvard Divinity School’s Leadership Council.
Mr. Shapiro served as a partner in Ropes & Gray’s private client group until 2016.
