Private equity partner and co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s Women’s Forum Amanda McGrady Morrison will be recognized at Corporate Counsel’s Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards on October 16 among six attorneys named in the “Women’s Legal Awards – Private Practice” category. The awards honor general counsel, in-house leaders and law firm partners who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.

As co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s 600-member global Women’s Forum, Ms. Morrison stands out for her steadfast efforts to support women lawyers and strengthen the pipeline of women into partner and leadership positions. Her leadership of the firm’s Women’s Forum has helped to magnify its positive impact and expand its reach to include offices in Asia and London.

In addition to increasing the programming and effectiveness of the Women’s Forum’s mentoring program, Ms. Morrison has been a driving force behind many of the innovative initiatives implemented over the past year—including enhanced professional development grants for women attorneys, expanded networking opportunities, and an increased exposure to women business leaders across industries.

Profiles of the honorees will run in the December issue of Corporate Counsel magazine.

Ropes & Gray is consistently recognized by Chambers & Partners, The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, Law360 and Vault as a top firm for women attorneys.
