Ropes & Gray Named as One of the UK’s Best Law Firms by The Times
Global law firm Ropes & Gray has been named as one of the UK’s Best Law Firms of 2020 by The Times, with a special commendation – for the second year running – for the firm’s financial crime & fraud & regulatory capabilities.
The ranking, which has been published this week, is based on a survey of solicitors across England and Wales who were asked to recommend the best law firms in any of 26 categories covering business, public and private-client fields. Law firms that were commended in one or more of the categories have been recognised by The Times.
Ropes & Gray, which launched its London office in 2010, is one of the world’s leading law firms focused on supporting the needs of funds and other sophisticated investors, alongside companies spanning a range of industries. In London, it features an international team of lawyers – from 27 countries and speaking more than 40 languages – that provides clients with a full service of transatlantic law capabilities coupled with an in-depth understanding of the market in the UK, Europe and Asia.
The firm has a leading global financial crime and regulatory enforcement team, which advises corporate and individual clients on the full range of cross-border and international risk issues, including anti-bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions, export controls and other financial risks. The team focuses on both internal and external investigations and resolutions with regulatory and criminal authorities, as well as working with clients across industries and geographies to identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
