The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) honored Ropes & Gray litigation & enforcement partner and co-chair Gregg Weiner with the Edward Brodsky Founders Award, which recognizes Gregg’s deep and longstanding commitment to the ADL mission: to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.

Gregg is an ADL trustee and serves as the co-chair of the ADL’s New York / New Jersey Region Lawyers Division. The Lawyers Division fulfills the ADL’s commitment to the civil rights and social justice initiatives, and it connects attorneys with established professionals dedicated to advancing its mission.

Created in memory of Edward Brodsky, a prominent member of New York’s legal community, the Founders Award honors an outstanding individual who is committed to creating a fair and just society for people of the Jewish faith and heritage, and people from diverse backgrounds.

"Unfortunately, antisemitism, identity-based bias and hate crimes are on the rise here and abroad. I am proud to stand with the ADL, which fiercely advocates to stop the defamation of the Jewish community and to secure fair treatment to all,” Gregg said.

Gregg received the award prior to the ADL’s Concert Against Hate on Dec. 6; an exclusive reception recognized regional honorees for their enduring commitment to fighting antisemitism and hate.

This year’s concert marks a 25-year tradition that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust, featuring extraordinary stories of real life heroes told through music and reenactments.
