Ropes & Gray Ranked Top 5 on Financial Times’ List of Most Innovative Law Firms in North America

Financial Times ranked Ropes & Gray #4 on its 2022 index of the most innovative law firms in North America. The index provides a holistic assessment of innovation considering several factors including workforce planning, data and technology, social responsibility, and financial growth.

Ropes & Gray also won the Financial Times’ award for “Innovation in Sustainability for Clients.” A team, led by private equity partner Dan Evans, finance partner Andrea Hwang, and mergers & acquisitions partner Sarah Young, advised Nature Conservancy on a landmark transaction to safeguard Belize coral reefs and fisheries.

Ropes & Gray was also Commended in Sustainability for advising Stripe in the formation of the $925 million Frontier Fund for carbon removal, Chris Comeau and Isabel Dische, led the team. The firm’s global ESG practice, led by partner Michael Littenberg was also Commended in ESG for creating a service for clients that tracks state-by-state changes in ESG investing rules.
