Amanda Persaud Profiled in Who’s Who Legal Thought Leaders

In a Who’s Who Legal Thought Leaders Q&A, asset management partner Amanda Persaud shares background on her start in private funds, current challenges facing the PE industry, and how Ropes & Gray stands out from its competitors in the market.

Amanda explained her inspiration to start a career in private funds came from the invaluable connections she made early on with colleagues and clients. “The partners I had the good fortune to learn from in those early days in my career were seminal practitioners in private fund law. The clients were breaking new ground raising billions of dollars of capital for the first time, and others were launching start up asset managers that today are widely recognized names.”

Having to operate in a higher interest rate environment is creating uncertainty across the PE industry, Amanda acknowledged. “While the landscape is unfamiliar for many sponsors, it brings new opportunities for both PE firms and their advisors. As with most challenges, unique problem-solving and resolution will allow for growth and innovation across the industry.”
