Ropes & Gray Shortlisted for Chambers USA Diversity & Inclusion Awards 2023

Chambers & Partners announced that Ropes & Gray has been shortlisted for “Diversity and Inclusion: Outstanding Firm,” and that litigation & enforcement partner Chong Park has been shortlisted for the “Pro Bono: Lawyer of the Year” category of the Chambers USA Awards 2023. The winners will be announced on June 15.

Ropes & Gray is a legal industry leader on diversity, equity & inclusion. This is demonstrated by the firm’s many programs and successes over the past year, aligned with the firm’s DE&I Strategic Plan, which prioritizes systems, processes and programs to advance inclusion. 

As the co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee and a member of the Pro Bono Committee, Chong embodies Ropes & Gray’s philosophy of “practice with purpose.” Most notably in the past year, Chong led the team that secured the full innocence pardon of John Huffington, who was twice wrongfully convicted of a 1981 double murder in Maryland and spent 32 years in prison, including 10 on death row. This is just one example of a distinguished record of advocacy that spans decades and a variety of worthy causes.
