Ted Alexander is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s global litigation and enforcement group. He focuses his practice on white collar criminal and civil defense, regulatory enforcement and compliance matters, and complex civil litigation.
Ted has substantial experience conducting investigations and representing clients in government enforcement matters. He has conducted internal investigations on behalf of audit and special litigation committees of boards of directors and has defended organizations accused of criminal and civil wrongdoing. Ted dedicates a significant portion of his practice to representing healthcare clients in connection with alleged violations of the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other anti-fraud statutes.
Prior to and during law school, Ted worked on the legislative staffs of various members of Congress. Most recently, he served as legislative director to a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where he advised on health, tax, and trade policy.
Ted maintains an active pro bono practice representing domestic violence victims in obtaining Civil Protection Order with the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.
