Our Better Ways

Time and again, we’ve seen compliance and culture initiatives fall short, in part because the focus on “best practices” has kept us from finding the truly better ways. Frustrated with the status quo, we created a team unlike any other: one that brings a data-driven and human-centered approach to the practice of law.

Human-centered compliance recognizes that compliance is not an exclusively legal, regulatory or enforcement exercise. It is also a deeply human one. This becomes really important when we’re developing policies, shaping controls, creating trainings, designing compliance-related messaging, delivering reports to senior leaders, creating risk assessments, and conducting investigations. We need to connect with people, so that we can help them do their job while also managing risk.

How We Do It

We make decisions based on data and evidence, not assumptions. At the Lab, we help companies:

Who We Are
