Ropes & Gray Advised Carlyle AlpInvest on Largest Publicly Rated GP-Led CFO at $1.25 Billion

Ropes & Gray advised Carlyle AlpInvest, a leading global private equity investor, on the closing of its second Collateralized Fund Obligation (“CFO”) offering, totaling $1.25 billion. This transaction closed on August 7.

The transaction marks Carlyle AlpInvest’s third securitization transaction and is the largest publicly rated GP-led CFO to date.

The Ropes & Gray team included asset management partners Lindsey Goldstein and Marc Biamonte, finance partners Chris Poggi and Dan Coyne and counsel Matthieu Wharmby, and tax partner Adam Greenwood.
