Ropes & Gray represented Charlesbank Capital Partners and its portfolio company, tech advisory and enablement platform Bridgepointe Technologies, on a strategic growth investment in Bridgepointe that valued the company at over $1 billion. The transaction, led by Charlesbank and Carlyle AlpInvest, is one of the largest recent investments in the technology services distribution market. The transaction was announced on April 9.
Charlesbank is a private investment firm with offices in Boston and New York. Founded in 1998 by the former principals of Harvard Private Capital Group, the firm focuses on middle-market opportunities across private equity and credit landscapes. It leverages deep sector expertise and research as its primary investment edge to identify and support businesses with strong growth potential and sustainable competitive advantages.
The team was led by private equity partners PJ Sullivan and Taylor Hart, and private equity associate Garrett Miller, and included antitrust partner Deidre Johnson, executive compensation & employment benefits partner Kyle Higley, and tax partner Tristan Evans-Wilent.
