Ropes & Gray has advised SOMACIS Group, a Bain Capital portfolio company, on the acquisition of Group ACB, a France and Belgium-based manufacturer of printed circuit boards.
The acquisition further strengthens SOMACIS Group’s industrial footprint, positioning it as a key European player, which now spans Italy, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France and Belgium, thanks to the addition of two manufacturing sites in France and one in Belgium.
The combination enhances the Group’s R&D, manufacturing and customer support capabilities, reinforcing its ability to serve customers across demanding end-markets that require advanced, mission-critical PCB solutions.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partners Fabrice Cohen, Aldo Piccarreta, and Luca Maranetto, with support from counsel Clément Delaruelle, and associates Julie Brissy, Chloë Pakiry and Marianna Pessi. Additional support was provided by antitrust partner Ruchit Patel, counsel Rupert Phillips and associate Mez Azizi, alongside finance counsel Niccolò Vernillo and Maroussia Cuny, and associates Lorenzo Russo and Tess Cohen.
